Jan 10, 2022 – Srinagar: After a random search in Hassanpora village of Kulgam district based on information, two unidentified terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces.
After the information of terrorist activities in Hassanpora village, security personnel had launched a cordon in the area for a thorough search operation on Sunday. Amid the operation, suddenly, the terrorists opened fire, converting the search operation into an encounter.
After a series of firings, two unidentified terrorists were killed in the encounter, as per the security spokesperson.
They also found some incriminating evidence after a search, including ammunition, arms, and other weapons, in the encounter scene.
According to thepublish, those militants killed in the encounter were a part of Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). As per, Inspector-General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar, two terrorists were affiliated with the LeT, and they were locals. They were involved in several terror crimes as per their records.
After the abrogation of article 370, terrorist activities were reduced in J&K. Random encounters are happening in and around Jammu and Kashmir area. The Union Minister of State reported 594 terrorist incidents in 2019, declining to 244 in 2020.
As per our central government’s “No Tolerance Policy,” terrorists will be completed eliminated from the J&K area in the coming years, another spokesperson said.
