February 7, 2022: After the attack on Asaduddin Owaisi on February 2, 2022, police filed an FIR and started their investigation. As per Sachin Sharma’s statement on the FIR, he tried to kill Owasi thrice earlier.
Police arrested one of the two killers in the case. As per the police department, Sachin Sharma, who got arrested, was resisting to speak up. Once after knowing that he was captured on CCTV camera, he opened up about the incident and his past missed attempts to kill Asaduddin Owaisi.
Sachin Sharma’s statement in the FIR said, “I found Asaduddin Owaisi’s speeches harmful to the nation and not good either. I consider myself a true patriot. In my mind, I had a big enmity with him.” (Source: Indian Express.)
In the FIR, he said that through Arif, the AIMIM’s Dasna chairman, he found that, as Arif was contesting for the MLA post, Owaisi was going to visit for a campaign. In his mind, he simulated a plan to kill Asaduddin Owaisi.
After that, he contacted his friend Shubham for help. Shubham was another accused in the case. They both used Arif to gather information about Owaisi’s plans.
They also tried to kill Owaisi before, but they dropped their plans because of the large gathering. As per the information, they knew that Owaisi was returning to Delhi by car.
He also said; initially, they aimed at Owaisi. But once they started firing, Owasi ducked inside his car to save his life, which made them shoot the lower area of the car. As per him, they were surprised that Owaisi survived the attack.
Union minister Amit Shah will make a statement in parliament regarding this attack. Rajya Sabha was adjourned for an hour in memory of Lata Mangeshkar.
