India, January 20, 2022: As per BJP MP Tapir Gao, China’s People’s Liberation Army has kidnapped a 17-year-old boy from Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Siang district.

Miran Taron, a 17-year-old boy was abducted from the Lungta Jor area on Tuesday. This happened when Miran along with his friend Johny Yaiying, were roaming in that area. Yaiying, who managed to escape from China’s PLA, informed the authorities about the abduction.

Gao said that they both are local hunters from Zido village.

The incident took place near the place where the Tsangpo river enters India. The river is called Siang in Arunachal Pradesh and the Brahmaputra in Assam.

Gao, in one of his tweets, said “All the agencies of Govt of India are requested to step up for his early release,”. He tweeted along with the picture of the abducted boy.

This is not the first time as they have kidnapped five boys from Arunachal Pradesh in September 2020 and released them after a week.

This latest incident happening, when the Indian Army continues to be engaged in a stand-off with the PLA in eastern Ladakh since April 2020.
