A budget for the next 25 years: FM Nirmala Sitharaman

FM Nirmala Sitharaman presented her 4th budget on Tuesday. The Economic survey estimated a 9.2% growth for the Indian Economy for FY 22.

The Budget highlights include allocation of 2.5 lakh crore towards MSP for farmers, 7.5 lakh crore capital expenditure, 1 lakh crore interest-free loans for the state.

The PM appreciated the budget and said it focussed on leaving no one behind. He also said the budget focuses on more infra, more growth & more jobs.

The PM added said the youth saw the budget as one that gave wings to their ambitions.

The FM in her budget said that GST collection reached 1.4 lakh crore in January. The budget deficit is estimated to be around 6.4%. The FM added the budget is focused on growth for the 25 years.
