“Icon of Partiality unveiled Statue of equality,”: TRS President KTR.

The Telangana Minister & working president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi party KT Rama Rao called PM Narendra Modi an icon of partiality regarding him unveiling the statue of Sri Ramanuja Acharya, also called the statue of equality.

Earlier the party president, the union BJP government, for being partial with the state and the party members went on to trend #EqualityforTelangana in the micro-blogging site Twitter.

When PM Narendra Modi landed in Hyderabad for the event, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao skipped the protocol to welcome PM Narendra Modi at the airport.

State ministers of Telangana abstained from the event. Later statements came out that the state chief minister was unwell & tested for covid-19.

The Telangana BJP criticized the CM for not following the protocol & welcoming PM Narendra Modi at the airport and called the act unconstitutional. BJP also criticized TRS for playing the regional card.

In a press meet last week, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao described the Union budget floated last week as one with slogans of no value. Earlier last week, KCR said PM Narendra Modi is a person who dresses according to the state he visits and asks for uprooting BJP from the Union government & throwing it into the Bay of Bengal.

“We strongly condemn that Chief Minister KCR did not come to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi. KCR, is this your culture? You claim to have read 80,000 books. Is it what you have learnt from them?” the state BJP chief, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, said while criticizing the act.

Have you forgotten the generosity of the Prime Minister? How can you confine yourself to your farmhouse by lacking the basic courtesy of welcoming the Prime Minister on his visit to the state?” he added.

The remarks of the TRS party president come at a time when several opposition party chief ministers are calling out for an alliance against the BJP.
